*This position is located in Washington State. Travel for in-person meetings at various office locations is required approximately 25% of the time.

Responsibilities:

As a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor, you will be working with industrially injured workers assisting them in their medical and vocational recovery. Primary duties include:

  • Meeting with all stakeholders to assist in the process of helping workers heal, recover and return to work to include workers, attorneys, employers, doctors and treating care teams
  • Educate parties on the workers' compensation process
  • Identify job accommodations and modifications to assist workers back to the workforce
  • Develop job analyses
  • Complete labor market research
  • Develop training plans
  • Develop resumes and assist with job search activities
  • Writing reports, letters and professional correspondence
  • Abiding by professional standards and ethical codes
  • Providing superior customer services to all parties
  • Resolving conflicts

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree-Preferred in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, Communications or Rehabilitation Counseling
  • Certified Disability Management Specialist (CDMS) credential or
  • Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) credential
  • 1-2 years prior experience working with Washington State Workers' Compensation clients.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to satisfy a background check for state and federal agencies
  • Valid driver's license and insurance
  • Superior customer serviceability
  • Ability to type 50+ WPM
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word, Windows, and the ability to quickly learn a new software program
  • A positive can-do attitude!

Pay: $58.03 - $63.30 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
