Job Description

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The position will provide behavioral health evaluations, acute therapy and support services for students in Jefferson’s Student Counseling Center.

Essential Functions

  • Provides comprehensive assessment, interventions, individual therapy, group therapy and other psychosocial treatment modalities.
  • Provides effective treatment planning and assists patients in successfully achieving goals.
  • Develops and participates in outreach, wellness, and psychoeducational programming to the campus community
  • Develops quality improvement and research projects aimed at improving the well-being of students.
  • Individual and team approach in managing crisis situations.
  • Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the iSCORE values of Jefferson.

Educational/Training Requirements

Doctorate in Psychology, Counselor Education (Ph.D or Psy.D.)

Ph.D. or Psy.D. licensed psychologist in the state of Pennsylvania, LPC, LMFT, LCSW licensed in the state of Pennsylvania

Experience Requirements

A minimum of one year of experience in a behavioral health setting is required. Prefer three or more years of outpatient clinical behavioral health experience. Experience in college counseling preferred.
