In accordance with the needs of the ages and of the population served by us, the BCBA-1/ LBS will organize and maintain data collection and statistical analysis systems for programs; conduct behavioral assessments and program implementation; direct clinical activities and staff/parent training; act as the Behavior Analyst on your assigned cases.

The job description reflects the designation of essential job functions but does not provide an all-inclusive list of duties that may be assigned.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Maintain confidentiality as outlined by HIPAA protocol on all company related correspondence and communications.
- Collect, record, summarize and analyze data based on client observable behavior.
- Develop and write FBA’s, treatment plans, and BIP.
- Write progress notes, supervision notes, assist direct therapists in maintaining program books, update progressnotes, treatment plans, and behavior plans.
- Conduct research on current interventions in ABA on specific target behaviors.
- Actively supervise, train and consult the caregivers and other professional in the implementation of baseline,treatment, parent training, and generalization sessions to ensure satisfactory implementation of treatmentprotocols.
- Develop behavior protocols and skill training protocols for clients. Disseminate this information to thetreatment team.
- Evaluate risk management and crisis management to utilize safe and appropriate handling, management andguidance procedures when transporting or working with clients.
- Implement and monitor integrity checks and target supervision in the areas in which the staff needs support.
- Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on data and report progress towards treatment goals at a minimumevery 6 months or when the child has met their goals.
- Conduct VB MAPP assessments, ABLLS, SKILLS, and any other assessments that may be appropriate to thedevelopment of a behavior program
- Review graphs and make intervention changes when appropriate, at a minimum every 2 weeks.
- Coordinate staff schedules that are working on your cases.
- Supervise the direct therapists on your specific cases at least 1 time a week for a minimum of 5% of theirhours.
- Follow direction from Clinical Director or Senior Behavior Analyst regarding RBT supervision.
- Promptly report any problems on the case(s) to the Executive Director, Clinical Director or Senior BehaviorAnalyst.
- Report to child line with any suspected abuse within 24 hours of the report or incident.
- Update assessments every year or more frequently, if required.
- Complete quarterly progress reports and evaluate client progress towards treatment goals. Update insuranceclient treatment plans to reflect monthly progress to be kept in binder until end of treatment plan. Original planwith progress records should be turned into the office.
- Attend treatment meetings and IEP meetings as required.
- Modal treatment protocols to staff.
- Treatment Plans, FBA, BIP, and progress updates will be submitted with a 48 hour turn around.
- Develop and oversee transition/discharge plan.
STANDARD REQUIREMENTS
- Must have own transportation.
- Must provide proof of vehicle registration and insurance card.3- Turn in paperwork on time according to the schedule.4- Must check email correspondence daily.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSREPORTING RELATIONSHIPQUALIFICATIONSEDUCATIONA Master’s Degree or Doctorate in Psychology, Speech and Language, Occupational Therapy, Education, or related field with an emphasis on Applied Behavior Analysis.EXPERIENCEExperience providing behavioral services to children with developmental disabilities is preferred.RELATED TRAINING
- Must be able to assume a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crouching, sitting, standing) in the course of working with developmental disabilities and severe behavior problems.
- Must be able to lift and carry clients in braces and other adaptive equipment.
- Provide indirect client care, following the prescribed behavioral/protocols/programs.
- Shadow/supervise direct therapists a minimum of 5% of direct therapist’s hours per week.
- Responsibility of level one BCBA to respond to parent concerns, direct therapy concerns, scheduling concerns and case specific concerns within 24 hours.
- After responding to concerns stated above, if additional support is needed contact a Senior Behavior Analyst.
- Any concerns regarding direct therapist case re-assignment will be communicated from office staff tosupervisor who will communicate any changes to direct therapists and parents.
- Report to Human Resources on employee related issues.
- Report to Administrative Director regarding billing, technology and schedule related inquiries.
- BCBA at the Master’s Level or doctorate level with current certification; Maintain certification of your BCBA and LBS.
- Maintain CAQH and credentialing with insurance companies.
- Previous experience working in a reputable clinic, home, or school program is highly desirable.
- A minimum of 1 year clinical/home/school experience providing direct services to children with Autism,training parents, and supervising staff in the implementation of intervention protocols.
- Knowledge of insurance-third party funding systems or willingness to learn.
- Extremely knowledgeable of early learning curriculum and the application of behavioral principles to increase awide range of functional repertoires.
- Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Able to work independently and as a team member in a dynamic, fast paced environment including one that isbuilding structure and process as it goes along; must be flexible and patient.
- Stay current on BCBA requirements and maintain CE credits with the BCBA board.
- Maintain up-to-date training/certification status in CPR, seizure training, child abuse reporting, professional crisis management, LBS license, BCBA certification and other company provided in-service topics.
