Job Description:
We are currently seeking a compassionate and organized Admin/Billing Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our clients, providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of our practice. We are looking for someone with billing experience only.

Responsibilities:
- Answer all calls coming in for the office, promptly and courteously, directing calls to staff members that can assist the caller if unable to assist them directly

- Copy insurance/Medicaid cards and collect copays at the time of visit, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to payment procedures

- Warmly greet clients who attend services in person, maintaining a welcoming and supportive environment, and complete necessary documentation with the client

- Address client inquiries, reschedule appointments as needed, and take messages for clinical staff via phone, demonstrating professionalism and empathy in all interactions

- Provide administrative support to clinical staff by copying, faxing, scanning, and emailing materials, ensuring timely and accurate communication

- Utilize the agency's electronic record system to determine necessary copays and amounts due at the time of the visit, maintaining accuracy and confidentiality in financial transactions

- Enter comprehensive notes in the electronic record system related to phone calls or client interactions, ensuring clear documentation and continuity of care for all clients

- Assist with proofreading and editing various documents for accuracy

- Maintain office supplies inventory and place orders when necessary

- Assist with basic office management tasks, such as coordinating maintenance requests

- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries

Requirements:
- Previous experience in an administrative or biller role preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Experience with QuickBooks is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
