Job Overview
As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), you’ll have the opportunity to operate your own practice within the supportive framework of HOPE Counseling Clinic. This role allows you the independence to build and manage your own client base, while also benefiting from the resources, community, and guidance we provide. You’ll be responsible for maintaining a consistent caseload and delivering individual, couples, and/or family therapy using a holistic approach to mental wellness. Responsibilities
- 1. Build and Manage Your Caseload
You will be responsible for developing your own caseload through a combination of marketing strategies and outreach efforts. While our clinic offers a built-in referral system, additional initiatives—such as networking with local providers, online advertising, and social media engagement—may be necessary. You will also oversee your own client intake process and maintain a consistent caseload.
- 2. Provide Therapy Services
Deliver individual, couples, group, and family therapy sessions to address a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, relationship challenges, and grief.
- 3. Develop Personalized Treatment Plans
Create tailored treatment plans that reflect each client’s unique needs, goals, and personal history, ensuring a client-centered approach to care.
- 4. Apply Evidence-Based Practices
Utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities to provide effective, individualized treatment.
- 5. Maintain Accurate Clinical Documentation
Ensure timely and thorough documentation of all client interactions, including session notes, treatment plans, and progress updates, in compliance with state regulations and ethical standards.
- 6. Commit to Ongoing Professional Development
Stay current with emerging research, clinical techniques, and best practices in the mental health field through continuing education and professional training.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Must be a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Wisconsin or be eligible to practice under supervision if licensure requirements are pending.
- Education: A Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited program.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience providing therapy in a clinical setting, including experience with individual, couples, and family therapy.
- Knowledge of Treatment Modalities: Proficiency in a variety of therapeutic techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), trauma-informed care, mindfulness-based interventions, etc.
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to build rapport with clients and communicate effectively with a diverse population.
- Ethical and Confidential: A deep understanding and adherence to HIPAA regulations, confidentiality, and ethical guidelines in clinical practice.
- Cultural Competency: Experience working with diverse populations and a strong commitment to cultural sensitivity.
- Self-Motivated and Entrepreneurial: A proactive and entrepreneurial mindset is essential for success in this role.
- Technical Skills: Comfortable using electronic health records (EHR) and telehealth platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with specific populations, such as children, adolescents, couples, or trauma survivors.
- Previous experience in private practice or multidisciplinary setting.
