Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our team in the CENTRAL ARKANSAS AREA (Greenbriar, Conway, Little Rock). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in behavioral health and experience working with children and individuals with disabilities, particularly those on the autism spectrum. As a BCBA, you will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized treatment plans that promote positive behavioral change and enhance the quality of life for our clients.
The BCBA is responsible for:
- The BCBA is responsible for evaluating clients using any of the following: ABLLS-R, VB-MAPP, AFLS, Vineland, MAS, FAST, FACTS, PEAK, ESDM, Functional Behavior Assessment as needed.
- The BCBA is required to evaluate clients 2 times per year (every 6 months)
- The BCBA should begin re-evaluations 45 days prior to the client’s program expiration date.
- The BCBA must include the parents/guardians on all client treatment plans and programming as well as obtain signatures on any treatment and behavior plans before submitting for approval.
- The BCBA is required to submit treatment and behavior plans to the Administrative Manager of A Better Approach ABA and include the CPT codes and hours for that authorization period.
- The BCBA is required to use A Better Approach, ABA’s templates when writing ITP’s and BIP’s.
- The BCBA will maintain a caseload of clients.
- The BCBA will write Focused and Comprehensive Individual Treatment Plans based on the client’s needs.
- The BCBA will develop and implement skills acquisition, social skills programs (FBA’s / FA’s) as needed.
- The BCBA will develop positive behavior support plans and strategies (PBSP).
- The BCBA will communicate effectively with clients and their families as well as with their RBT’s.
- The BCBA will abide by all BACB ethical codes and supervision requirements.
- The BCBA will provide weekly supervision for all RBT’s.
- The BCBA will provide weekly monitoring and supervision of all client programs in the client’s home.
- The BCBA will provide consultation and training for parents, teachers, RBT’s, and anyone involved in the client’s treatment plan.
- The BCBA will collaborate with other professionals working with the client as needed.
- The BCBA should submit client documentation, data on goals, and session notes in ReThink after the end of each session (within 24 hours if not able to document immediately after session).
- The BCBA should submit weekly billing sheets to the Administrative Manager on Sundays for the previous week.
- The BCBA should create their schedule in ReThink on a weekly basis.
- The BCBA will use only evidence-based programming/interventions.
- Provide regular, written, and verbal progress and updates on the client’s treatment goals.
- Participate in team meetings and trainings as required.
- Ensure the client is always in a safe and positive environment.
- Follows policies and procedures of A Better Approach ABA.
- Collaborates with team members and family to provide effective treatment.
- The BCBA will provide monthly education and parent training on specific program goals and/or parent goals.
Qualifications:
- Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA, as certified by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
- Master’s Degree in Special Education, Education, Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis, or a related field.
- Obtain and maintain in good standing certification commiserate with treatment provided.
- Maintain CEU requirements and BCBA credential with Behavior Analytic Certification Board (BACB).
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
- Expert knowledge of intervention planning for developing behavior change strategies that focus on reducing problem behaviors and increasing appropriate behaviors.
SCHEDULING REQUIREMENTS:
- Weekly hours/schedule are based upon the client’s treatment plan and family availability.
- The BCBA should be meeting with the client and RBT on a weekly basis.
- BCBAs may work in the client’s home, school, community, and/or clinic settings.
- A parent and/or guardian must be present throughout therapy sessions unless the client is seen in the school or clinic setting.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour
