The BCBA will provide specialized behavior analysis services to clients of various ages, working in school and private agency settings. This role involves conducting assessments, developing and implementing behavior intervention plans, and collaborating with other professionals to improve client outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Assessment and Planning:
- Conduct functional behavior assessments to determine the function of challenging behaviors.
- Develop individualized behavior intervention plans based on assessment data and evidence-based practices.
- Establish clear goals and objectives for each client's treatment plan.
- Review and update BIPs as needed to reflect client progress and changing needs.
Direct Intervention:
- Provide direct intervention and support to clients
- Implement behavior intervention strategies outlined in the BIP.
- Monitor client progress and collect data on the effectiveness of interventions.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with families, other professionals (e.g., speech therapists, occupational therapists), and school staff to ensure a comprehensive approach to client care.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Collect and analyze data on client behavior and progress.
- Use data to evaluate the effectiveness of intervention plans and make necessary adjustments.
- Prepare progress reports and other documentation as required.
Professional Development:
- Stay up-to-date on the latest research and best practices in applied behavior analysis.
- Maintain BCBA certification through continuing education.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree or equivalent in Applied Behavior Analysis or related field
- Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification
- Experience in working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or other behavioral challenges
- Strong knowledge of behavior analysis principles and techniques
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to ethical standards and client confidentiality
- Ability to travel to various locations as needed
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,164.88 - $85,521.14 per year
