Position Responsibilities:
- Providing groups weekly.
- Individual sessions as needed
- Completes all paperwork including progress notes within a 24-hour period. Necessary paperwork is completed in a manner that is consistent with the best clinical practices.
- Communicates effectively with direct supervisor, along with treatment team members when necessary.
- Over sees maintenance and use of art room to ensure safe and effective functioning.
Education, Competencies and Credentials:
- Master’s Degree in Creative Arts Therapy or related field required.
- ATR/Registered Art Therapist Required
- Experience working with eating disorder patients is highly desired.
Skills:
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of, and ability to, assess eating disorders
- Knowledge of nutrition counseling techniques and practices
- Ability to develop and implement nutritional treatment planning
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information in accordance with state and federal law
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
- Skill in demonstrating tact, resourcefulness and patience
- Ability to work well within a clinical team setting
- Ability to adhere to and enforce policies and procedures
- Ability to adapt to diverse client groups
- Kitchen management knowledge
- Time management skills
Hours: 40 hours, M - F
