Patient Population

Our patient population is diverse and primarily composed of high-functioning individuals who are often highly motivated for treatment. Many of our patients present with complex medical histories and come from various backgrounds, enriching the clinical experience. We provide care for individuals with a wide range of diagnoses, including depression, anxiety, mild cognitive impairment (MCI), dementia, ADHD, PTSD, bipolar disorder, OCD, and more. Additionally, we have a large network of referrals, enabling us to offer comprehensive, multidisciplinary care tailored to each patient's unique needs.

Fellowship Details

Clinical Hours for Neuropsychology Fellowship

  • Clinical hours will be from 10am to 6pm (although this is flexible), including in face-to-face direct service delivery, supervision, documenting, administering assessments to patients, scoring, report writing, case presentations, observation/shadowing, didactics, and supervision.
  • Fellows are expected to complete 1-2 assessments every two weeks.
  • Fellows are expected to see 5-10 psychotherapy and/or cognitive remediation patients per week.

Clinical Hours for Psychology Fellowship

  • Clinical hours will be from 10am to 6pm (although this is flexible), including in face-to-face direct service delivery, supervision, documenting, case presentations, observation/shadowing, didactics, and supervision.
  • Fellows are expected to see 10-20 psychotherapy patients per week.

Supervision and Training

  • Individual Supervision: Our program provides at least 1- 2 hours of supervision per week, allowing trainees to work with a diverse group of experienced supervisors. This structure ensures a well-rounded training experience, with supervision tailored to the trainee’s interests and the supervisors’ specialties, offering opportunities to focus on areas of personal and professional growth. Additionally, tele-supervision is available for added flexibility and convenience, ensuring trainees receive accessible, high-quality mentorship to help them excel in their careers.
  • Didactics: Occasional didactics or interactive informative discussions are held throughout the year.
  • Open-Door Policy: Supervisors are available for additional guidance as needed.

Neuropsychology Post-Doctoral Requirements:

  • Ph.D. or Psy.D. in psychology with a focus on neuropsychology
  • Completion of an APA-accredited internship (concentration in neuropsychology)
  • Completion of an APA-accredited doctoral clinical psychology program (concentration in neuropsychology)
  • Two sanitized neuropsychological reports
  • Eligibility for licensure in New York State with a limited permit
