Position Summary
This full-time Genetic Counselor will work closely with the Geneticist located at our Westchester Center of Excellence, and will provide assistance with the diagnosis, care and treatment of genetics patients.

Responsibilities
- Prepare for patient appointments, including medical record review.
- Assist with clinical consultations, draft consultation notes and write patient result letters.
- Complete lab requisition forms and coordinate patient and/or family genetic testing.
- Coordinate specimen send outs and result notifications.
- Attend case conference meetings, as needed.
- Participate in specialty clinics, as requested.
- Supervise medical students, rotating residents and genetic counseling students as needed.
- Performs related duties & responsibilities as assigned/requested.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in education and experience required; plus four years of related experience.
- Must have a Master’s degree.
- Must be Board certification in Genetic Counseling or board-eligible.
- Consistently strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and sustain effective working relationships with professionals in other disciples.
- The ability to create a high-energy results-oriented work environment that encourages colleagues and staff to value each other’s contributions; and the ability to share and celebrate success with colleagues and staff.
