Job Summary
The Psychiatrist will provide general outpatient psychiatric services to members of our nearsite and onsite communities, including intakes and evaluations, acute and chronic conditions, treatment, and medication evaluations and treatment plans. This role will integrate and collaborate with our primary care and ancillary care teams, including our behavioral health providers, as part of our larger comprehensive primary health model.

Job Summary

This role will integrate and collaborate with our primary care and ancillary care teams, including our behavioral health providers, as part of our larger comprehensive primary health model.
Job Responsibilities
- Provides psychiatric intake evaluations.
- Assesses and treats mental illnesses through a combination of psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, medication and referral for inpatient services as needed.
- Engages in regular discussions with patients to change behavioral patterns, explore past experiences, or conduct group and family therapy sessions.
- Provides treatment for acute and chronic psychiatric conditions
- Completes medication reviews and prescribes medications
- Develops treatment plans in collaboration with behavioral health providers
- Provides evidence-based, timely, compassionate care to a wide range of individuals
- Works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary medical team, including primary care physicians and physical medicine providers, and specifically with behavioral health specialists and health coaches
- Completes thorough documentation using EMR and other integrated tools and applications
- Complies with approved Crossover Health policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- MD degree from an accredited medical school
- Active Board Certification in Psychiatry and Active State Medical License in state of practice
- Minimum 5 years of clinical experience serving patients across the care continuum of psychiatric care
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Experience in an outpatient setting, specifically within an integrated primary care model
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, including presentation and consultation skills.
- Experience with telehealth or virtual care offerings, including aptitude for associated technology.
- Competent using computer applications (Google products, Mac OS user preferred) including database, spreadsheet, and document creation
- Self-directed individual with polished professionalism and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Ability to use discretion and judgment in dealing with sensitive or confidential information
- Passion for best-in-class member experiences (patient-centered medical home model) and for providing next generation health care
- Experience in developing educational programs, policies and procedures
- Thrives in a fast-paced and rapidly changing, demanding environment.
- Experience using EMR systems
- Requires standing, walking and sitting for extended amounts of time.
- Occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Manual and finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Requires corrected vision, hearing and speech within normal ranges. Must be able to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
