About the Role
We’re seeking a Florida-certified School Counselor for a full-time, year-round position supporting students and families in a K–8 setting. You’ll collaborate with educators, families, and school leadership to improve student outcomes through strong support systems, guidance programming, and social-emotional interventions.
- Location: Jacksonville, FL - Onsite School setting
- Start Date: June 2025
- Certification Required: Florida School Counselor Certification (PK–12)

What You’ll Bring
- Master’s degree in School Counseling (or equivalent)
- Valid Florida Certification in School Counseling (PK–12)
- At least 1 year of school counseling experience with measurable impact
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to pass a background check as required by law
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in a K–8 setting (counseling or teaching)
- Experience developing school-wide systems and building community partnerships
- Confidence leading student support initiatives and parent engagement strategies
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the LEA and coordinate district Multi-Response Team (MRT) meetings
- Collaborate with teachers to deliver in-class guidance and character education
- Provide individual and group counseling using evidence-based interventions
- Support student attendance and engagement through family outreach
- Onboard and support new families as they transition into the school
- Connect families with local resources and community programs
- Lead summer reading and credit recovery efforts through FLVS
- Plan and host at least one community-building event each school year
- Maintain and improve counseling systems aligned to student needs
- Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by school leadership
