About Job

The BCaBA designs, implements, and monitors ABA-based interventions to promote skill development and reduce challenging behaviours in clients, typically children with ASD or developmental disabilities. Working under a BCBA's supervision, the BCaBA collaborates with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams in home, school, or community settings to support client progress.Key Responsibilities
  • Intervention Delivery: Implement individualized ABA programs, using techniques like discrete trial training (DTT), naturalistic teaching, or positive behaviour support (PBS).
  • Data Collection: Record and analyze client data to track progress and inform adjustments to intervention plans.
  • Behaviour Support: Assist in conducting functional behaviour assessments (FBAs) and implementing behaviour reduction strategies.
  • Program Support: Help develop and update intervention plans under BCBA guidance, ensuring alignment with client goals.
  • Training: Coach parents, caregivers, or support staff on ABA strategies to promote consistency across environments.
  • Collaboration: Work with BCBAs, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and educators to integrate interventions across settings.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate session notes, progress reports, and data logs in compliance with ethical and regulatory standards.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, applied behaviour analysis, or a related field.
  • Certification: Current BCaBA certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB), including ongoing supervision by a BCBA.
  • Experience: At least 6-12 months of experience in ABA or working with individuals with special needs (preferred).
  • Skills:
  • Proficiency in ABA principles and intervention techniques.
  • Strong analytical skills for data collection and interpretation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client and team interactions.
  • Patience, empathy, and adaptability to meet diverse client needs.
  • Organizational skills for managing caseloads and documentation.
