The RN provides professional nursing care, assists physicians, administers medications, changes dressings, and monitors vital signs.
Participates as a team member or leader in planning and delivering patient care, ensuring safe aseptic techniques, and guiding support staff.
Works in a 36-bed cardiac unit specializing in post-surgical and medical-surgical patients with cardiac diagnoses, emphasizing early detection and response to medical issues.
Responsibilities include assessments, patient/family education, IV and wound care, lab analysis, and medication management.
Requirements: graduate of an accredited nursing school, current Texas RN license, CPR, ACLS (within 6 months), EKG, NIHSS.
Preferred one year of nursing experience.
