Location: Lincoln Regional Center, Lincoln, NE
Salary: Starting at $60.00/hour (Licensed) | $55.28/hour (Provisionally Licensed)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. with schedule flexibility.

About the Opportunity
We’re seeking a dedicated Psychologist to join our team at the Lincoln Regional Center (LRC), a 250-bed, Joint Commission-accredited state psychiatric hospital. As part of our Behavioral Health Division, you’ll provide expert mental health care to adults living with severe mental illness in a structured, recovery-focused setting.

What You’ll Do
As a Psychologist at LRC, you will:
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations (cognitive, personality, and risk assessments).
  • Develop and lead individualized treatment plans for patients.
  • Provide both individual and group therapy sessions.
  • Serve as a key clinical voice on interdisciplinary treatment teams.
  • Offer expert consultation on behavioral strategies and therapeutic approaches.
  • Deliver training to staff on psychological practices and risk management.
  • Contribute to policy improvements and program development.
  • Provide expert testimony at mental health board hearings.
What We’re Looking For
Requirements / Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
  • Doctorate in Psychology.
  • Licensed in Nebraska or eligible for a provisional psychology license.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • One year of post-doctorate experience.
  • Experience working with patients with severe and persistent mental illness.
Key Skills for Success:
  • Expertise in psychological assessment and treatment.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Deep understanding of the Nebraska Mental Health Commitment Act.
  • Passion for trauma-informed care and recovery-oriented services.
