Community Options, Inc. is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 12 states.
We are actively seeking an experienced Intake Supervisor in Princeton, NJ. The Intake Supervisor manages the admission process to identify supports for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This person will support their team with intake operations as well as internal transfers, and discharges for all individuals that attend programs.
Responsibilities
- Lead and train team to facilitate the admission process and to identify appropriate supports
- Manage team performance through effective communication, training, performance management, staff meetings, and employee recognition
- Ensure Intake Coordinators respond to regions in a timely manner via phone and email regarding placements, internal transfers, and discharges
- Ensure intake procedures are followed for accepting new individuals into all eligible programs
- Place individuals in homes and programs that align with their Individual Support Plan (ISP)
- Assist in the reconciliation of claim denials due to state eligibility and waiver requirements
- Maintain programmatic records and documentation for individuals receiving supports
- Prepare required statistical, financial, and service reports as needed
- Monitor individual authorizations for expiration and determine course of action
- Update billing department on eligibility and authorization status
- Prepare and assist in annual reassessments and waiver recertifications
- Ensure the state application packet and requested information is completed for each individual
- Resolve social security issues
- Reconcile regional accounts on a quarterly basis
- Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned
- Employee must cooperate with the license and department staff in any inspection, inquiry, or investigation
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; Associate’s degree in health or business administration preferred
- Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
- Must have excellent training skills and strong leadership/mentoring/coaching abilities
- Ability to develop systems that support compliance
- Must demonstrate basic knowledge of programs and services for individuals with disabilities
- Understand the principles of accounting as they relate to claims functions
- Ability to examine documents for accuracy and completeness
- Ability to understand and interpret policies and regulations
- Experience with problem solving against multiple priorities
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of checks of criminal background, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing
