School Psychologist - Linden Street School
Description: Plainville Community Schools is seeking a certified school psychologist to provide counseling services, care coordination, and family support for students in the District Elementary RISE Program, an elementary program for students with emotional and behavioral disorders, as well as completion of comprehensive evaluations for Linden Street School to determine eligibility for special education services, collaboration with school based teams to utilize diagnostic information to improve student performance in schools and the establishment of collaborative relationships with families to facilitate the special education evaluation process and support families in accessing resources needed to understand the impact of disabilities on school functioning. Experience with young children and strong family collaboration preferred. Other responsibilities may also be assigned at the discretion of the District Administration. Salary range can be found in the EAP contract located on the Plainville Community Schools website.
Qualifications: Successful candidate for this position must have Connecticut certification as a School Psychologist (070). Must be knowledgeable about the diagnostic processes and legal requirements for evaluating students to determine eligibility for special education services in CT.
