Step into a role where your expertise shapes futures and provides essential behavioral support for young children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and behavioral challenges within NJ's public schools. Every Child Behavior Solutions is seeking a qualified, self-employed Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) consultant to provide school-wide behavioral support in a progressive public elementary school, including supporting existing special education programs.
Position Details:
- Position Type: 1099 Independent Contractor
- Hours: 32.5 hours per week during school day
- Location: On-site at one elementary school building
- Duration: 10-month contract (September-June)
- Compensation: Paid hourly; potential to earn up to $100,000 for the 10-month contract
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive skill assessments and Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) to understand each student's unique needs.
- Develop behavior intervention plans for students requiring behavioral support.
- Provide consultation to general education and special education classroom teachers and paraprofessionals through targeted training and ongoing classroom support.
- Support staff implementing existing ABA strategies and data collection protocols.
- Use data-driven decision-making to evaluate student progress.
- Participate in collaborative meetings to enhance student well-being and educational outcomes.
- Work with students who exhibit maladaptive/unexpected behaviors and provide support for staff who work with such students.
Qualifications:
- Current BCBA certification in good standing.
- Masters Degree in a related field.
- A minimum of 1 years' experience delivering behavioral services within a school setting.
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate effectively across the educational community.
- Reliability, punctuality, and excellent communication skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of behavioral principles and their application in educational settings.
- Proof of Professional Liability Insurance
- Proof of Workers' Compensation Insurance
Independent Contractor Acknowledgment: This position is classified as an independent contractor (1099) relationship. The contractor:
- Will maintain independent professional operations separate from the contracting organization
- Will use their own methods and processes to accomplish contractual responsibilities for the district
- Is responsible for their own tax obligations
- May provide services to other clients/organizations
- Will maintain required insurance coverage
- Will not be eligible for employee benefits
