The Social Worker primary role is to strengthen parent-child relationship as well as supporting in enhancing the child's healthy growth and development by providing voluntary respite and after care services to increase family relationship and protective factors for families seeking services from Family Respite.


Salary Range: $63,750.00-$72,250/year

Responsibilities:

  • 1- The Social Worker will serve as the worker, delivering EBM GenPMTO training and implementing other best practice interventions directly with the families and youth. During the respite stay will partner with wall parties to strengthen parenting skills, enhance family functioning, and support positive outcomes through consistent, targeted practice.
  • Social Worker will research, organize, maintain, & share information with families on local community resources & work in close collaboration with family therapists, coordinator, and youth advocate for coordination of service planning.
  • Complete all documentation (intake packet, psycho-social assessment, session notes) and enter in NYF, Model and ACS database within program time frame.
  • Maintaining knowledge of and connections to community resources to advocate for and connect families to resources to help them manage any stresses or concerns and support in achieving their goals
  • Reduce risk factors and increase positive parent-child interaction and bond by conducting Home Visits for families on caseload during respite and after care services
  • Participate in ongoing professional development/Training ( Internal, Model Developer and Stakeholders) to overall development as well as support programmatic and family/child needs.
  • Assisting with administrative program needs to support participant and program needs
  • Maintain strong data management practices to ensure program goals—including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Performance Targets and Indicators—are consistently tracked, met, and reported. Includes proactively analyzing data trends to drive decision-making, support continuous improvement, and demonstrate program effectiveness

Salary Range: $63,750.00-$72,250/year

Qualifications:
  • Masters Degree in Social Work, Mental Health, Psychology or related Field. Bilingual Preferred but not required
  • 2-3 years experience in working with or providing services to at risk children and families in Child Welfare, and experience in crisis intervention skills
  • Knowledge of infant and child and adolescent development
  • Experience and willingness to work with the culturally diverse populations that are present among the program's target population
  • Open to reflective practice (i.e. has capacity for introspection, communicates awareness of self in relation to others, recognizes value of supervision)
  • Ability to identify family strengths and foster self-sufficiency and independence in families
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Flexibility with schedule as program will need evening and weekend support. This is a 24/7 on call program for emergencies that arise during after hours.
Education Required: Masters’s Degree from a U.S. accredited educational institution or Credential Evaluation for a non-U.S. educational institution
