Location: Chelmsford High SchoolGeneral Description: Chelmsford Public Schools is seeking a doctoral level Clinical Psychologist to work within the public school setting. Responsibilities include individual and group counseling, psychological assessments, crisis evaluations, and consultation with staff, families, and social service agencies. Qualified candidate with become an integral member of a multidisciplinary team at the high school level (grades 9-12) and will join a dynamic team of eleven doctoral level psychologists in the Chelmsford Public School system, participating in an established doctoral psychology training program. This position is one of three clinical psychologist positions at Chelmsford High SchoolProvide counseling, instruction, and mentoring for those students struggling with social, emotional, and behavioral concerns. Conduct psychological evaluations and observations for initial and reevaluation of special education services. Member of school crisis team and student support team. Work collaboratively with school's social emotional learning team. Consult and collaborate with teachers and school staff to support students. Promote wellness and resilience by reinforcing communication, social skills, problem solving, anger management, self-regulation, and self-determination skills.- Identify and address learning and behavior problems that interfere with school success
- Understanding of the eligibility process for special education
- Evaluate eligibility for special education services (within a multidisciplinary team)
- Ability to produce concise psycho-educational reports which are understandable to both teachers and parents
- Support students' social, emotional, and behavioral health
- Communicate with families and enhance home-school collaboration
- Make referrals and help coordinate community support service
- Consult and collaborate with teachers.

- Make appropriate assessments and referrals for suspected abuse/neglect as a mandated reporter.
- Maintains communication with administrators, teachers, other school personnel, and parents/guardians to enhance cooperative action, which will meet the health and safety needs of students.
- Maintains confidentiality regarding all school and health-related issues.
- Participates as a member of the multidisciplinary team in the identification, evaluation, and placement of students into special education programs.
