Position Summary

Recruit and enroll traditional undergraduate students on the campus of ONU in Bourbonnais, Illinois.
The expected start date for this position is the summer of 2025.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist the Director of Recruitment for Traditional Enrollment in achieving the undergraduate enrollment goals of the university.
  • Recruit students in a given territory and represent Olivet through high school visits, church visits, college fairs, district, and regional church gatherings.
  • Superintend the admissions process with direct responsibility for 100-120 incoming freshmen for each new school year.
  • As an admissions team, superintend the recruitment process for 750-800 new freshmen students for each new school year.
  • Build future prospect and applicant pools via intentional recruitment of high school juniors.
  • Maintain regular, constant contact with all applicants and prospects (approx. 2,500) of a given territory through consistent communication via phone, e-mail, ZeeMee, texting, regular mail, etc.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
  • A lifestyle in agreement with the ONU Statement of Mission, Faith, and Lifestyle Covenant.
  • A keen love for Olivet (preferably traditional undergraduate alumni).
  • An exceptional work ethic and intrinsic motivation.
  • A positive attitude and outlook personally and professionally.
  • Strong ability to interact and relate to prospective students and parents as well as the ability to speak publicly and present the Olivet Story.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills as well as computer literate.

Additional Information
EDUCATION A bachelor's degree is required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT 12-month position, exempt status, 40 hours per week. Located in the Admissions Center on the main campus in Bourbonnais. Standard office environment, no major sources of discomfort. Some seasonal travel required. Reports to the Director of Recruitment for Traditional Enrollment.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION:
Starting annual salary begins at $38,000 but will be based on experience and education level.
