The University of South Dakota Office of Admissions is seeking a motivated, goal-oriented and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Admissions Counselor. This role involves engaging prospective students and their families throughout the college search journey, leading on- and off-campus marketing and recruitment initiatives, assisting with financial aid and scholarship inquiries, and managing data using our CRM and other software systems. Additional responsibilities include delivering engaging presentations about USD, collaborating with faculty and staff to meet enrollment targets and evaluating applications for admission and scholarship eligibility.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree and a valid driver’s license required.
  • Experience in admissions is preferred.
  • Familiarity with the University of South Dakota, its departments and admissions standards is highly desirable.


The ideal candidate will possess excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, creativity in building relationships with prospective students and proficiency in Microsoft Office. A willingness to travel is essential.
