Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate professionals for the positions of LCADC, LADC, and CADC-I. These roles are essential in providing high-quality addiction counseling and behavioral health services to individuals in need. The ideal candidates will demonstrate a strong commitment to patient care, possess relevant certifications, and have a thorough understanding of medical terminology and patient assessment techniques. We are looking for a licensed Drug and Alcohol Counselor with at least 5 years of experience in the field. The ideal candidate will have expertise in outpatient (OP), intensive outpatient (IOP), partial hospitalization programs (PHP), and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) while working with adolescents and adults.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine individual needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
- Provide addiction counseling services, utilizing evidence-based practices to support recovery.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and safety.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams in hospitals or community care settings to coordinate patient care effectively.
- Document patient progress accurately using ICD-10 coding and other relevant medical terminology.
- Offer support for patients dealing with PTSD and other behavioral health issues.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in addiction counseling.
Qualifications
- Valid certification as LCADC, LADC, or CADC-I is required.
- Experience in home community care or hospital settings is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and ICD-10 coding is essential.
- Proven ability to conduct thorough patient assessments and develop effective treatment strategies.
- Compassionate approach towards individuals facing addiction and mental health challenges.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and healthcare teams.
