Job Summary
As a Certified Peer Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in the efforts to deliver compassionate, personalized support to individuals in need. In this position, you will utilize your lived experiences and specialized training to guide and empower clients, helping them navigate the healthcare and social services systems and achieve their personal goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and group peer support to clients, drawing upon your own recovery experiences and expertise
• Assist clients in developing self-care strategies and accessing community resources
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate holistic care plans
• Maintain detailed client records and documentation
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities

Qualifications

• Certification as a Peer Support Specialist or equivalent training and experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport
• Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to supporting others in their recovery journeys
• Knowledge of community resources and social services
• Familiarity with the healthcare and social welfare systems

 - Candidate must be at least 18 years old- Must have a High School Diploma or GED- Must be willing to self-disclose lived experience for the purpose of education, role modeling, and providing hope to others about the reality of recovery. - Applicant must complete Delaware Certified Peer Recovery Specialist Training- Must have experience in a peer role
