We are looking for a part-time LCPC, LCSW, or LMFT to provide in-person and remote care for children, adolescents, and/or adults or couples and families.

Kerns and Associates is a well-established private mental healthcare practice in downtown Barrington, IL that provides medication management, therapy, and diagnostic testing for children, adolescents and adults. We are in need of a talented therapist to join our team who can work with child and adolescent clients, both in-person and via telehealth.

Our office can provide a comfortable and private environment to meet and work with your clients, as well as toys/books and other materials for play therapy.

Referrals within our practice for individual, couples, or family therapy are also available should you be interested and available.

This is a part-time, contracted position with the opportunity to build a therapy-client base from in-office referrals as well as bringing in new clients.

Qualifications:

LCPC, LCSW, or LMFT; current license to practice independently in Illinois (required).

Counseling experience working with children (minimum 1 year required).

Strong and current understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation, particularly with regards to any remote work.

Availability on weekday evenings and Saturdays (required): Because we are looking for a therapist for children/adolescents, you must be available during "after school" hours and a partial day on Saturdays in order to best accommodate the schedules of working families with children in school.
