Compensation & Benefits

Pay: $26.00–$32.00 per hour, based on experience and credentials.

Schedule

Full-time
Monday through Friday
9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
No weekends

Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine clients' treatment needs.
Provide individual, and group counseling sessions focused on substance use recovery.
Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans.
Monitor client progress and modify treatment interventions as needed.
Facilitate psychoeducational, recovery, and relapse prevention groups.
Provide crisis intervention and appropriate referrals when necessary.
Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, case managers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate client care.
Educate clients and their families about addiction, recovery, relapse prevention, and available community resources.
Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, discharge summaries, and other required records in the electronic health record (EHR).
Ensure compliance with COMAR regulations, Maryland behavioral health standards, HIPAA, and organizational policies.
Participate in staff meetings, supervision, and continuing education activities.

Qualifications

Preferred Licensure/Certification

Applicants with one or more of the following Maryland credentials are encouraged to apply:

CSC-AD
ADT
LGPC
LCPC
LMSW
LCSW-C
LGADC
LCADC
Other equivalent Maryland behavioral health licensure or certification

Preferred Experience

Experience providing substance use disorder (SUD) treatment in an outpatient, intensive outpatient (IOP), residential, or behavioral health setting.

Skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong assessment, counseling, and treatment planning abilities.
Compassionate, empathetic, and culturally responsive approach to client care.
Ability to establish therapeutic relationships while maintaining professional boundaries.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
