Catholic Charities North Dakota, an accredited social service and licensed child welfare agency, is seeking an Adults Adopting Special Kids (AASK) Supervisor. The AASK Supervisor provides supervision to AASK Workers in the assigned region, takes an active role in the development and provision of program services. The right candidate can work in our Bismarck office, hybrid or remote from anywhere in North Dakota if you are willing to travel to the Bismarck area throughout the year.

Job Function:

The AASK Supervisor represents Catholic Charities North Dakota on the AASK collaborative, upholding the Agency's goals, philosophy/mission and according to AASK policy in a professional and ethical manner. The position provides supervision to AASK Workers in the assigned regions, takes an active role in the development and provision program services, including post-adoption services and offers assistance to the AASK Director as assigned. This position serves the Bismarck and Dickinson region. Location of supervisor is open to North Dakota, with regular travel to Bismarck for staff support.

Job Responsibility Including Physical Demands (Essential Functions):

1. Provide supervision to AASK Workers and AASK office support in assigned regions, including a minimum monthly supervision meeting in accordance with agency and program standards.

2. Assist AASK Director in the hiring, training and performance evaluation of AASK staff.

3. Delegate and oversee work assignments for supervisory staff; process and assign all new child and family referrals. Monitor new case assignments and caseload sizes.

4. Initiate and coordinate ICPC documentation, serving as AASK's primary ICPC contact for those cases under the position's supervision.

5. Review and approve all adoptive home assessments and placement related paperwork.

6. Ensures service delivery is performed according to the agency and program missions, policies and procedures and service philosophy.

7. Conducts case reviews with assigned staff at least quarterly.

8. Maintain strong communication level with the AASK Director.

9. Assist with manual updates and other policy and procedure needs as the needs arise within the program structure or as requested by the AASK Director.

10. Assist AASK Director in planning of regular staff meetings.

11. Assist AASK Director in the development and ongoing maintenance of the Catholic Charities/AASK budget.

12. Promote, develop and monitor needed program components (e.g. recruitment, child

assessment and preparation, post-finalization plans, strategic planning, etc.)

13. Act as a resource for child referral and adoptive family information sources for the counties served under the position's supervision.

14. Participate actively in the Agency’s Performance Quality Improvement Process.

15. Participate in networking and public relations with agencies and individuals connected to AASK: referral sources, families, public and private agencies.

16. Support AASK's involvement with the statewide PRIDE training curriculum for foster/adoptive persons as well as AASK Informational meetings.

17. Provide adoption-related training and education to regions and counties as requested.

18. Attend statewide and regional trainings pertinent to permanency/adoption efforts within the state, in addition to other trainings available for professional development.

19. Attend child and family team meetings with AASK Workers periodically or as requested.

20. Participate in the development of and provision of post-adoption services in North Dakota as requested.

21. Culturally knowledgeable to fulfill the needs of the clients and the position responsibilities.

22. Perform other duties as assigned by AASK Director.

23. Demonstrate values consistent with the Agency.

Mandatory Qualifications/Certification:

¨ ND Social Work License, plus experience.

¨ Good customer service, verbal and written communication skills.

¨ Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

¨ Availability for intermittent statewide travel.

¨ Must have a valid driver's license.
