Purpose:
Qualifications:
- Ability to use utility knife and common hand tools safely
- Ability to read tape measure with decimal and fraction scale
- Ability to operate line controls located after the shear
- Ability to read and understand work order requirements
- Be familiar with material acceptance standards per grading criteria
- Trained in operation of the coiler
- High attention to detail
Primary Functions:
- Inspect all panels for defects
- Stack panels on skids or dollies
- Checks width and length and assists the Dry End Group Lead with measuring squareness of the panel
- Operate panel coiler ensuring the material is coiled straight
- Label each panel per work order
- Ensure automatic labelers are stocked at all times
- Roll film at the treadmill on startups and changeovers
- Count panels and notify the Dry End Group Lead when a run or skid is near completion to signal changeover
- Maintain acceptable 5S standards for the Dry End of the lines
- Provide necessary support on the line wherever needed when issues arise as directed by the Shift Supervisor or the Group Lead
