Telehealth Psychotherapist (LMSW)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide compassionate clinical treatment and conduct initial assessments.
• Use an electronic health record to input notes and assessments, and manage patient check-ins and check-outs.
• Conduct teletherapy sessions via a HIPAA-compliant video platform.
• Complete collaborative/concurrent documentation and submit within 24-48 hours of appointments.
• Manage an independent caseload.
• Develop person-centered, recovery-oriented treatment plans in collaboration with patients.
• Coordinate care with clinical supervisors and medical providers to ensure comprehensive and effective treatment for patients.
• Utilize evidence-based approaches to address serious mental illness, trauma, primary healthcare needs, and criminal justice involvement.
• Provide culturally competent services tailored to individual client needs, considering factors such as race, ethnicity, culture, language, immigration status, developmental status, criminal justice involvement, sexuality, age, and gender.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Social Work.
• Active NYS, CT, or NJ license LMSW (Licensed Master Social Worker)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Article 31 outpatient clinic, mental health clinic, or teletherapy setting.
• Commitment to 15-20 hours per week.
• Liability Insurance and NPI number.
• Bilingual candidates and those with certifications in specific modalities/interventions (e.g., CBT, DBT, MIT ) are encouraged to apply.
• Experience working with BIPOC, LGBTQ+, youth, and adult populations is a plus.
