WAYLAND PUBLIC SCHOOLSEMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY2026-2027 SCHOOL YEARJOB POSTINGTitle: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)Position Summary: Wayland Public Schools is seekinga highly skilled and collaborative Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to support students across the district. The BCBA operates in a consultative role, focusing on staff training, program development, and behavioral systems rather than providing direct one-on-one therapy. This position is essential for ensuring that evidence-based behavioral strategies are integrated consistently across all educational settings to support the social, emotional, and academic growth of our students. Duties and Responsibilities (Not limited to):Assessment and InterventionConduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and behavioral observations.Lead the development of Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP) in collaboration with lead teachers and school psychologists.Design and oversee efficient data collection systems to monitor student progress and ensure the fidelity of BIP implementation.Staff Training and ConsultationFocus heavily on skill training and coaching for program staff and general education teachers.Provide ongoing feedback and modeling of intervention strategies for instructional staff.Facilitate Safety Care training and support incident reporting protocols.IEP Process and CollaborationWrite measurable behavioral goals and objectives for Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).Participate in Annual, Reevaluation, and Manifestation meetings as needed.Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including school counselors, OTs, SLPs, and administrators, to align program language and strategies.Family PartnershipConsult with families on behavior management strategies and provide parent training as outlined in student IEPs.Share data analysis and progress charts with parents/guardians regularly.Qualifications:Education: Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, or a related fieldExperience: Previous experience working with school-aged children is highly preferred.Cultural Competency: Experience with diverse populations and a strong commitment to Wayland's goals of diversity, equity, and inclusion.Professionalism: Strong communication skills and the personal characteristics necessary to serve as a positive role model for students.Education and Experience: Advanced Degree: Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, or a related fieldLicensure: Active Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification in good standing, Current licensure as a Massachusetts Licensed Applied Behavior Analyst (LABA)SEI Endorsement: Evidence of Sheltered English Immersion (SEI) Endorsement is mandatory.Wayland Public Schools (WPS) provides a desirable benefits package for full-time employees which include: health, employer sponsored Health Savings Account, dental, vision, long-term disability, life insurance, 403(b), Dependent Care Account, Flexible Spending Accounts, and participation in retirement pension boards.
