Domestic Violence Shelter Tech

Hours:

Day position: Saturday and Sunday only 5pm-11pm and Rotating crisis line.

Experience in the domestic violence or social work field are strongly preferred.

Must have a valid TN driver's license and have a good driving record.

Must pass a background/ drug screening.

Duties are as follows:

  • Keep all client and shelter information confidential
  • Provide trauma informed direct services to victims of domestic violence
  • Responsible for organization of supplies for shelter
  • Adhere to health and safety protocols
  • Take the hotline on a rotating basis and answer crisis calls
  • Record and complete documentation of all crisis calls
  • Assist in processing new shelter residents in compliance with policies and procedures
  • Transport clients as needed
  • Supervise the maintenance and upkeep of shelter to ensure a safe environment. Cleaning and lifting an average of 15 pounds to include carrying supplies upstairs is required
  • Assist with and participate in agency events, as requested
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • The candidate will work well in a team setting, be self motivated and organized.
  • Must be proficient in Word, Excel and have basic computer skills.
  • Must be able to to lift 25 pounds, go up stairs and complete cleaning tasks.
  • Must be able to pass a TBI backgound check and random drug screenings.
  • Must have a valid TN drivers license, insurance and have a good driving record.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour
