Who We Are & Why BCBAs Choose SEBS

Southeast Behavioral Services (SEBS) is a BCBA-owned, BCBA-led ABA organization serving families across East Tennessee. We are an independent, locally founded practice — not private equity owned and not a national chain — which means our priorities stay where they belong: clinical integrity, sustainable caseloads, and supporting the people who provide care. Because we are deeply rooted in this community, every decision we make is shaped by the needs of the families we serve and the clinicians who work alongside us. In a field increasingly shaped by investor influence and large corporate structures, SEBS remains committed to ensuring that client outcomes, not profit margins, guide our choices.

Whether you're a newer BCBA seeking mentorship, structure, and professional development, or an experienced clinician looking for an ethical, stable, and respectful environment, SEBS offers a place where you can grow and do meaningful work. Our team is intentionally small and close-knit — you are never just a number here — and our leadership understands the demands of this field firsthand. When you apply, you speak directly with the owner and with practicing BCBAs who work in the same clinics you do, not recruiters or distant corporate administrators. Your ideas matter here, and your voice has a direct impact on the way we serve our clients and our community.

We believe extraordinary client outcomes come from empowered, well-supported clinicians. That’s why we maintain small caseloads, predictable clinic-based schedules, and more than six weeks of paid time off each year. It’s also why we invest heavily in developing high-quality RBTs who are prepared, confident, and reliable. Our technicians receive structured onboarding, competency-based training, and ongoing coaching so you can focus on delivering effective, ethical treatment.

At SEBS, your work is guided, supported, and strengthened by a team that is invested in your growth. Many of our RBTs are graduate students working toward becoming BCBAs, which creates a collaborative, professional-minded environment where everyone is growing together. You’ll join a close-knit community of BCBAs and RBTs who share expertise, support one another, and help each other provide the best possible services for our clients.

If you’re seeking a workplace where your voice is valued, your development is prioritized, and your work genuinely changes lives, SEBS may be the right fit — a place where you can build a meaningful and lasting career in ABA.

If you're even a little curious about what life could look like at an independent, BCBA-led practice, we’d love to talk. There’s no pressure and no commitment — just an honest conversation with people who understand this field and care about doing it the right way. Sometimes one conversation is all it takes to realize what kind of support you’ve been missing.
