Outreach Specialist/Peer Support Specialist

Dawn Evolutions LLC is seeking a motivated and compassionate North Carolina Certified Peer Support Specialist to join our growing team as an Outreach/Peer Support Specialist. This community-based position combines peer support services with outreach and referral development throughout Gaston County and surrounding counties including Mecklenburg and Cleveland counties.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about recovery, enjoys connecting with community providers, and is motivated to help build and support a growing client base.

Responsibilities:

Outreach and Referral Development:

• Build professional relationships with community providers, agencies, hospitals, shelters, probation offices, and behavioral health organizations
• Conduct outreach activities to increase awareness of Dawn Evolutions LLC services
• Identify and develop referral sources throughout assigned counties
• Assist with community networking and resource building
• Help build and maintain an active caseload with a minimum goal of 4 active peer support clients

Peer Support Services:

• Provide Medicaid peer support services to adults with mental health and/or substance use needs
• Support clients in developing coping skills, community integration, independence, recovery goals, and daily living skills
• Meet with clients in the community, home, or approved public settings
• Assist clients with accessing community resources including housing, food, transportation, employment, and healthcare supports
• Complete required documentation and maintain compliance with North Carolina Medicaid and agency standards
• Participate in team meetings, supervision, and ongoing training

Qualifications:

• Must be a North Carolina Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS)
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must have a reliable and properly registered vehicle
• Must be able to travel throughout Gaston County and surrounding counties including Mecklenburg and Cleveland counties
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to work independently and professionally in community settings
• Experience with outreach, behavioral health, or community networking preferred

This is a community-based/mobile position with flexible scheduling and opportunity for growth within Dawn Evolutions LLC.

Pay: From $23.00 per hour
