Consumer Loan Processor - Operations Center - Onalaska WI

We are currently seeking a Consumer Loan Processor to join our team! The ideal candidate will manage the consumer lending process, ensuring accuracy, timely funding, and issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities

Perform all aspects of direct consumer loan processing, including the processing and funding of high priority loans within promised timeframes.
Monitor LOS system queues to draft all types of direct consumer loan documents for completion.
End-of-day closing procedures, which includes balancing the national branch and securing checks and confidential data in the vault.
Catch and fix errors on loan applications, problem solve, resolve issues, and provide mentoring to co-workers as needed.
Provide assistance and backup to all other consumer lending personnel, as needed.
Build and maintain solid and positive professional relationships with sales, underwriting, processing, and closing staff.

Qualifications

High School diploma, GED, or HSED is required.
One year of general lending experience preferred.
Previous direct or indirect loan processing experience preferred.
Good understanding of credit union policies, systems, documents, NCUA regulations, and other laws pertaining to home equity/mortgage lending.
Strong decision-making skills and the ability to solve difficult problems effectively.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for helping people.

Availability

This position is full-time, 40- hours a week, Monday through Friday with a Saturday morning rotation from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Typical hours Monday through Friday will be 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Work Environment

This position is located at Altra's Operations Center in Onalaska, WI however, work from home / remote work opportunities are available after 3-6 months of employment once successfully completing all position-specific training and demonstration of consistent and satisfactory work performance.

Pay & Benefits

Competitive starting $18.25-$19.00 per hour, based on previous experience.
When bilingual in Spanish or Hmong, receive a $1.00 per hour pay premium after completing and passing a language exam.
