Catholic Charities of Southeast Michigan (CCSEM) has been serving the communities in St. Clair, Lapeer, Monroe, Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties since the late 1940s. CCSEM is a non-profit organization that provides comprehensive social services that empower individuals and families through skill development and advocacy to manage their environment in order to achieve a healthy quality of life. All agency services reflect a profound concern for human life, with a strong commitment to family life. Each year the agency services approximately 20,000 persons of all faiths, races and cultures throughout southeast with special emphasis on low income and poor families.

Qualification/Experience/Responsibilities

Bachelor's degree in Social Work or Human Services related field. One year experience in a direct adoptive service, child welfare or related services preferred. Attend 9 weeks of CWTI training and receive a passing grade on two examinations prior to receiving a full caseload. We are seeking an individual to work as a Foster Care Case Manager in our Child Welfare Program in Southfield. This individual must have a passion for working with children and understand that we are here to reunite families. The Foster Care Case Manager will provide case management services to families and children in the Child Welfare system. The best candidate will have great communication skills, is empathetic and is able to be open and honest with families. The individual must be able to work as a team with all involved parties. The candidate must be highly organized, competent with technology (MiSACWIS) and be able to manage their time effectively and work independently. A successful candidate should be able to learn the requirements, policies and procedures and be able to write reports, conduct home visits and court hearings. They need to always demonstrate professionalism.

Work Environment, Physical Demands & Travel:

This job operates in a professional office environment and includes approximately 65% travel.

Position Classification, Type & Expected Hours of Work:

Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Job Type: Full Time, Exempt Position

Pay: $43000 per year
