The University of Florida Health Proton Therapy Institute, located in Jacksonville, Florida, has an opening for a Patient Intake Coordinator. A Patient Intake Coordinator speaks to prospective patients recently diagnosed with cancer, providing them with information about the various radiation oncology services UFHPTI offers. Coordinator is responsible for obtaining clinical reports and images that are required for the initial consultation. Coordinator is also responsible for scheduling bloodwork, imaging studies and other tests needed at the time of consultation. Coordinator will provide medical and scheduling information to a variety of departments in the company.

Qualified candidates should have a minimum of one year of experience working in a related healthcare field and/or two years’ customer service experience. Prior oncology experience preferred. Associate's degree or Medical Assistant certificate is preferred. Experience using Mosaiq and EPIC, electronic medical record systems, preferred.

UFHPTI is looking for a highly motivated individual who has a desire to help patients, takes initiative and has a positive attitude. Above average communication skills, both oral and written, are required. Coordinator must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks logically and have strong organizational skills. Coordinator must be able to handle stressful situations in a professional manner. Coordinator must be detail-oriented, have excellent interpersonal skills and anticipate problems before they occur. Coordinator must be able to work as a team and independently. Proficiency with Word, Outlook and Excel is required.
