ArcMorris is currently hiring for two full-time Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) opportunities within our Adult Training Center and Day Habilitation programs serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout Morris County.
Shift #1 – Day Habilitation Without Walls (DHWW) RBT
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
This position supports our Day Habilitation Without Walls (DHWW) program, a community-based program where individuals participate in interactive, interest-based recreational, educational, and social activities throughout the community.
Primary assignment locations include:
- Hanover Adult Training Center (HATC) DHWW – 4 days per week
- Flanders Adult Training Center (FATC) DHWW – 1 day per week
Schedule and location assignments are subject to change based on program needs.
Shift #2 – Adult Training Center (ATC) RBT
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
The primary location for this role is the Hanover Adult Training Center in Whippany, NJ. There may also be an opportunity to travel and provide support 1–2 days per week at the Flanders Adult Training Center in Flanders, NJ.

Program OverviewDay Habilitation
ArcMorris operates two Day Habilitation locations in Whippany and Flanders where individuals receive training focused on:

Skills are developed through engaging, interactive activities both within the facility and throughout the community alongside trained staff and instructors.
Day Habilitation Without Walls (DHWW)
The Day Habilitation Without Walls program is fully community-based. Individuals participate in small groups and explore their communities through interactive, interest-based recreational, educational, and exploratory activities. The program promotes independence, social engagement, and skill development through meaningful real-world experiences, including visits to museums, libraries, parks, volunteer opportunities, and other community destinations.
Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Overview
The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) plays a key role in supporting individuals’ behavioral health needs across day habilitation and community-based settings through the implementation of evidence-based behavior support plans.
This is a full-time, on-site position ideal for professionals passionate about Applied Behavior Analysis and supporting adults with developmental disabilities. The RBT works under clinical supervision and collaborates closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, consistent care.
Professional Development & Supervision
ArcMorris follows the standards set by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). RBTs in this role receive supervision from a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and may have the opportunity to obtain BACB-approved supervision hours while employed with ArcMorris. This position is well suited for individuals interested in gaining supervised experience toward advanced certification in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis.
Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Responsibilities
- Provide direct behavioral support in day habilitation and community-based settings
- Implement individualized Behavior Support Plans (BSPs) under clinical supervision
- Conduct assessments, including Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and reinforcer assessments
- Collect, record, and maintain accurate behavioral data
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote consistency and quality of care
- Participate in staff training, supervision sessions, and team meetings
- Screen potential participants for appropriate program placement
- Ensure compliance with ArcMorris and DDD policies and procedures
Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Skills & Requirements
- Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification (required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, Social Work, Public Health, Counseling, or related field
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, including supervised experience in behavior assessment and BSP development
- Experience writing Behavior Support Plans for adults (preferred)
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License in good standing
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel between program locations within Morris County
