Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and individuals with developmental disabilities. In this vital role, you will implement evidence-based behavioral interventions under the supervision of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). Your dedication will help foster positive behavior change, enhance communication skills, and support independence through personalized care plans rooted in applied behavior analysis (ABA). This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow professionally while providing compassionate, patient-centered care in a supportive environment.

Duties

  • Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on ABA principles to promote skill development and reduce challenging behaviors.
  • Collect and record accurate data on client progress, behaviors, and responses during therapy sessions to inform ongoing treatment adjustments.
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, dressing, feeding, and hygiene, fostering independence.
  • Support clients during educational activities and teach new skills aligned with their care plans and goals.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by ensuring confidentiality of medical records, treatment documentation, and client information.
  • Collaborate closely with BCBAs, caregivers, and team members to ensure consistency and effectiveness of interventions.
  • Participate in training sessions on behavioral health, behavior management techniques, medical terminology, and documentation procedures to enhance your skills.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience or training in behavioral therapy, working with children or individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management strategies, and data collection methods.
  • Compassionate attitude with excellent teaching skills to motivate and engage clients effectively.
  • Ability to assist with ADLs and support clients in achieving their personal goals.
  • Commitment to maintaining patient care standards while adhering to HIPAA guidelines for confidentiality.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is highly desirable. Preferred Qualifications

  • ABA therapy experience
  • Minimum 1 year experience working with children with Autism and other intellectual disabilities
  • RBT certification
