SummaryJob Title: PsychiatristSpecialty: PsychiatryLocation: Sonora, CASummaryWe are seeking a dedicated Psychiatrist to provide comprehensive mental health services in a clinical setting. As a key member of the behavioral health team, this role is responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of mental, emotional, and behavioral conditions. The Psychiatrist will play a critical role in improving patient outcomes through evidence-based care and collaborative treatment planning.ResponsibilitiesConduct psychiatric evaluations and diagnose mental, emotional, and behavioral disordersDevelop and implement individualized treatment plans for patientsPrescribe and manage psychotropic medicationsProvide crisis intervention and stabilization services when necessaryUtilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT)Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in compliance with standardsCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient careMonitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordinglyParticipate in quality improvement and performance initiativesEnsure compliance with ethical standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policiesProvide patient and family education regarding diagnoses and treatment plansParticipate in professional development and maintain active licensureQualifications & RequirementsDoctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) in PsychiatryBoard Certified or Board Eligible in PsychiatryActive California medical licenseCurrent DEA registrationCurrent BLS or ACLS certification preferredExperience with electronic health record systems preferredStrong understanding of psychiatric diagnostic and treatment methodologiesMust pass Occupational Health ScreeningMust meet employment eligibility requirements (I-9 verification)Clean driving record may be requiredScheduleMonday - Friday8:00 AM - 5:00 PMSettingOutpatient clinical setting BenefitsHealth, dental, vision, and life insurance403(b) retirement planGenerous paid time off, including vacation, sick leave, and holidaysStudent Loan Repayment eligibility (HRSA/IHS)Direct student loan contribution programsContinuing Education reimbursement and licensure supportWork-life balance with consistent weekday scheduleEEO Statement - Tribal Health is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
