BOARD-CERTIFIED BEHAVIORAL ANALYST (BCBA)
QUALIFICATIONS School Psychologist Certification and/or Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) preferred. Other special education related certifications and/or LBA will be considered. Fingerprint Clearance
SALARY No less than $45,000, Negotiable based on experience.
The Pembroke Central School District is seeking a qualified and collaborative professional to serve as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) who will support students with behavioral, social-emotional and developmental needs through evidence-based behavioral practices. The BCBA will collaborate with teachers, administrators, related service providers, families and multidisciplinary teams to support positive student outcomes within the 3 school buildings. The BCBA reports directly to the Coordinator of Pupil Personnel Services.
Responsibilities
- Development and implementation of Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs), Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIPs) and Applied Behavior Analyses (ABA).
- Analyze behavioral data to guide individualized and classroom-based interventions.
- Provide consultation and coaching to teachers, paraprofessionals, and administrators regarding behavioral supports and strategies.
- Support students with behavioral and social-emotional needs, including students with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
- Support crisis prevention, intervention, and de-escalation planning.
- Provide professional development and staff training related to behavior management and evidence-based practices.
- Collaborate with families, district programs and community agencies to support student programming and transitions.
- Participate in CSE meetings and provide recommendations regarding behavioral supports and placements.
- Maintain documentation, progress-monitoring, and behavioral-data systems.
