We are seeking a dynamic and passionate in-house Community Liaison / Business Development Specialist to join our hospice team. This vital role combines community engagement, relationship building, and strategic outreach to enhance our hospice services' visibility and accessibility. As a key connector between the organization and the community, you will drive growth by developing meaningful partnerships, educating stakeholders about hospice care, and identifying new opportunities for service expansion. Your energetic approach will empower you to foster trust, facilitate collaboration, and ensure that patients and families receive compassionate, comprehensive support.
Responsibilities
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers, community organizations, referral sources, and potential partners to expand hospice awareness and referrals.
- Conduct engaging product demonstrations and informational sessions to educate stakeholders about hospice services and benefits.
- Lead outreach initiatives by organizing community events, seminars, and educational programs that promote understanding of hospice care options.
- Manage key accounts through proactive communication, regular follow-ups, and tailored solutions that meet client needs.
- Identify new business opportunities through market analysis, competitor research, and networking efforts to grow the organization’s presence in the community.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop compelling presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint and prepare detailed reports with Microsoft Word.
- Negotiate agreements and contracts with external partners while ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance standards.
Skills
- Exceptional negotiation skills with a proven ability to close deals and foster long-term relationships.
- Strong account management experience in B2B sales or medical sales environments.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct product demos effectively while explaining complex concepts clearly.
- Technical sales expertise with a focus on healthcare or pharmaceutical products is highly desirable.
- Leadership qualities that inspire confidence and motivate team collaboration across outside sales efforts.
- Outstanding communication skills—both verbal and written—to engage diverse audiences confidently.
- Excellent organizational skills for managing multiple projects, scheduling outreach activities, and maintaining detailed records.
- Analytical skills to assess market trends, evaluate performance metrics, and optimize outreach strategies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite—including Word for documentation and PowerPoint for presentations—is essential.
