About Our Practice
Advanced Counseling Associates is a private therapy practice dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care. We are committed to creating a warm and supportive environment for both our clients and our clinicians. We are currently seeking a licensed and motivated LCSW to join our growing team.


Position Summary
The Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) will provide high-quality individual therapy to a diverse caseload of clients. This role is ideal for a clinician who is passionate about client-centered care and wants to be part of a collaborative, supportive practice environment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual therapy sessions to adults, adolescents, and/or children (based on your specialty)
  • Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Maintain a caseload of clients and manage scheduling, session documentation, and progress notes
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, EMDR, trauma-informed care)
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA and ethical standards
  • Collaborate with the clinical team on cases as needed, including referrals and care coordination
  • Participate in regular group consultation and professional development opportunities
  • Adhere to all state licensing board requirements and practice policies


Qualifications
Required:
  • Active, unrestricted LCSW license in NY
  • Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
  • Experience providing individual psychotherapy in a clinical setting
  • Strong knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostic criteria and evidence-based treatment modalities
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries and handle confidential information with discretion

Preferred:
  • Experience with a specific population (e.g., anxiety, trauma, depression, adolescents, couples)
  • Credentialed or willing to credential with major insurance panels
  • Familiarity with EHR/practice management software (e.g., SimplePractice, TherapyNotes)
  • Training in specialized modalities such as EMDR, DBT, or somatic approaches
