Job Title: Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)

Job Type: Full-Time (W2)

Location: Philadelphia, PA (In-person)

Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday (Daytime Hours)

Departments: Outpatient (OPT) and Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS)

Position Overview:

The Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) (W2) will provide high-quality mental health counseling services to clients in a supportive and therapeutic environment. The LPC will assess clients' needs, develop treatment plans, and implement therapeutic interventions to promote emotional well-being and personal growth.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Licensed Professional Counselors conduct initial assessments and ongoing evaluations to determine clients’ mental health needs.
  • Licensed Professional Counselors develop individualized treatment plans based on assessments and client goals.
  • LPCs provide individual and group counseling sessions utilizing various therapeutic modalities.
  • LPCs maintain accurate and timely documentation of client sessions and progress.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and community resources to support client care.
  • Stay current with best practices in mental health counseling and participate in ongoing professional development.
  • Uphold ethical and legal standards in counseling practice and client confidentiality.
  • Acting Clinical Supervisor on Saturdays for the Outpatient clinic; individual supervision with therapists as assigned.
  • Reviewing and approving clinical documentation for the IBHS department as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Current LPC license in the state of practice.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with diverse clients.
  • Experience with various therapeutic techniques (e.g., CBT, DBT, etc.).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a clinical setting or with specific populations (e.g., adolescents, trauma, substance abuse).
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
