Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and creative Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) to join our team in supporting individuals. The Music Therapist will design and implement individualized and group-based music therapy interventions aimed at enhancing communication, social-emotional development, motor skills, cognitive functioning, and overall quality of life.

Key Responsiblities

• Provide individual and group music therapy sessions tailored to the unique needs of each client.
• Develop and implement goal-oriented treatment plans focusing on communication, motor skills, socialization, emotional expression, and more.
• Monitor and document client progress, maintain accurate records, and provide regular reports in accordance to company and state standards.
• Engage caregiver and family in the therapeutic process, providing education and support to incorporating music based strategies into daily routined and interaction.
• Bring energy, creativity, and compassion to every beat, chord, and lyric.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Music Therapy from an AMTA-approved program.
• Board Certification (MT-BC) from the Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT) required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Creative, flexible, and person-centered approach
• Experience working with individuals with IDD, preferred.
• Knowledge of adaptive music techniques and augmentative communication strategies
• Fingerprint Clearance Card
