Job Description
Cognitive Connections KY is seeking compassionate, motivated, and independently licensed mental health professionals to provide counseling services to individuals receiving Kentucky ABI Waiver services.
Our agency provides person-centered behavioral health and supportive services focused on improving emotional wellness, independence, community integration, and quality of life for individuals with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI).
We are currently expanding and looking for contract counselors who are passionate about working with adults and families impacted by brain injury, trauma, emotional regulation challenges, depression, anxiety, adjustment difficulties, and behavioral health concerns.
Position Responsibilities
- Provide individual counseling services to ABI Waiver participants
- Complete clinical documentation in a timely and professional manner
- Develop treatment goals and interventions tailored to participant needs
- Collaborate with case managers, support teams, guardians, and providers
- Utilize evidence-based interventions such as CBT, DBT-informed approaches, Motivational Interviewing, and Trauma-Informed Care
- Maintain compliance with Kentucky Medicaid and ABI Waiver regulations
- Participate in treatment planning and care coordination as needed
QualificationsRequired:
- Active Kentucky professional license in good standing
- Ability to work independently as a 1099 contractor
- Experience with behavioral health documentation and treatment planning
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Preferred:
- Experience working with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), TBI, developmental, behavioral, or neurological populations
- Experience with community-based services
- Knowledge of Kentucky Medicaid documentation standards
- Experience providing in-home or community-based counseling services
Available Licenses Considered
- Clinical Social Work (LCSW)
- LPCC
- LMFT
- Licensed Psychologist
- CSW under supervision (if applicable to service requirements)
