Paint Technician
This position is responsible for painting and the reassembly of Forklifts and/or other Material Handling Equipment.
Responsibilities and Duties
• Work with Shop Manager in retrieving job list and assignments
• See that jobs are completed in a timely manner
• Keep Track of Shop Supplies/Paint
• Place order of Shop supplies/paint with Parts Coordinator
• Sign off on job completions
• Paint all Material handling Assigned
• Reassemble Forklift, to include seats, and parts initially removed. Make sure all parts a secured
• Apply safety decals
• Remove overspray, and touch up where needed
• Remove forklift from paint area when finished
Skills and Specifications
• Basic mechanical and diagnostic ability
• College or similar experience in the field of Auto Body and Paint
• 2 + years’ experience
• Possess the appropriate means of transportation to meet the daily responsibility of your work schedule. This is to include being on time, and not missing work.
• Must possess self-motivation and can be driven
• Ability to understand compliance standards and OSHA safety regulations.
• Ability to work closely with others and meet physical demands of the position.
• Possess good communication skills both written and verbal
• Possess the ability to pay attention to detail
• Physical exertion required. Including, but not limited to, walking, standing, stooping, bending and lifting to 90 pounds
