$30,000 retention bonus (subject to funding availability)Solano County is seeking Psychiatrist - Child Board Certified to perform psychiatric evaluations and diagnoses of assigned clients under the age of 21; develop, monitor, and evaluate appropriate treatment plans including psychotherapy and/or psychotropic medication strategies for in-patient and out-patient child/adolescent clients and to perform and monitor a variety of administrative tasks/functions in support of assigned program areas/division services.The eligible list established from this recruitment will be used to fill full-time and part-time regular, limited-term or extra-help positions as vacancies occur or the need arises.POSITION REQUIREMENTS:EXPERIENCE: Successful completion of a three or four year psychiatry residency program that is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) to include one year of professional experience in providing child/adolescent psychiatric treatment and evaluation; this one year experience may be gained in residency.LICENSING, CERTIFICATION AND REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS:

Applicants are required to possess a valid license as a physician and surgeon issued by the State of California.
Possession of a valid certification as a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist by the American Board of Psychiatry is required.
Some positions in this class will require the applicant to possess a valid California driver's license, Class C, by the time of appointment.

This may include the completion of continuing education units to maintain the required registration in good standing.
