Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatrist to join our team. They will be well versed in dual-diagnostic aspects of treatment and have experience in treating various mental health disorders including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, psychosis and cannabis-induced psychosis. The Psychiatrist will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop effective treatment plans and ensure the highest quality of care for our patients.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations to determine mental health needs.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments, incorporating cognitive behavioral therapy and other therapeutic modalities.
- Provide crisis management support for patients experiencing acute psychiatric episodes.
- Deliver therapy sessions and mental health counseling to patients, focusing on their unique challenges and goals.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure comprehensive treatment approaches.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including data collection for ongoing assessment of treatment efficacy.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with best practices in pediatric psychiatry and general psychiatric care.

Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with completion of residency in Psychiatry.
- Post-residency experience preferred, particularly in inpatient settings.
- Strong background in pediatric psychiatry is a plus.
- Proven skills in crisis management and patient assessment.
- Experience providing therapy, including cognitive behavioral therapy techniques.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Compassionate approach to patient care with an emphasis on mental health advocacy.
