Job Description

Overview

  • Lead groundbreaking psychiatric clinical trials, contributing to advancements in mental health treatment and research methodologies.
  • Ensure compliance with ethical guidelines and regulatory standards in all research activities.
  • Provide expert medical oversight and supervision for psychiatry-focused research studies.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, sponsors, and regulatory bodies to achieve research objectives.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Provide clinical oversight and supervision for psychiatric research studies, ensuring participant safety and protocol adherence.
  • Review psychiatric assessments, lab results, and adverse events to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Collaborate with study monitors, sponsors, and team members to facilitate smooth study operations.
  • Support recruitment and screening processes for study participants, ensuring eligibility and ethical standards.
  • Mentor Sub-Investigators and clinical research staff, fostering professional growth and study excellence.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and ethical guidelines throughout the study lifecycle.
  • Provide occasional weekend or after-hours coverage as required to meet study demands.

Job Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) with specialization in Psychiatry, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine.
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical practice experience; clinical research experience is advantageous.
  • Current physician license in Ohio is required.
  • Strong clinical insight and attention to detail in psychiatric evaluations and research documentation.
  • Effective leadership and organizational skills in a collaborative research environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and research software tools is essential.
