Individuals in this position will work in the Spencer Cancer Center providing genetic counseling services to patients and families under the leadership of the Physician’s, Program Manager and Administrative Director. Patient and provider genetics education are an essential part of the job.POSITION QUALIFICATIONSMinimum EducationBachelor’s Degree with requisite certification in Genetic CounselingMinimum Experience2-5 years Genetic Counseling experienceRequired Registration/License/CertificationBoard Certified or board eligibility by the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) orBoard certification or board eligibility by the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ABMGG) orAdvanced Genetics Nursing Certification (AGN-BC) orAdvanced Clinical Genomics Nurse (ACGN) credentials from the Nurse Portfolio Credentialing Commission (NPCC) orClinical Genomics Nurse (CGN) credentials from the Nurse Portfolio Credentialing Commission (NPCC)Advanced practice oncology nurse or physician assistant with specialized education in cancergenetics and hereditary cancer predisposition syndromes, such as Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner (AOCNP) credentials, or equivalent certification from the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC) orRegistered nurse with specialized certification in cancer genetics and hereditary cancerpredisposition syndromes

such certifications include City of Hope Course in Genomic Cancer Risk or National Consortium of Breast Center’s (NCBC) Certification in Cancer Genetics and Risk Assessment (CGRA)
